We felt we must write to you and express how pleased we were after visiting Lorna and Andrews Open day.

We joined the club in October last Year after purchasing chickens for the back Gardens.We felt this would be the right thing to do to gain Knowledge and meet like minded people. We attended the first meeting which also was the AGM. Unfortunately,we came knowing nobody and left knowing nobody.Save yourself, John, who politely introduced yourself. We felt we had made a big mistake.
When the flyer came with the invitation for Lorna and Andrews Open day we decided to give it a try. We were made welcome right from the start, introduced to other members,shown all around, and had a lot explained to us. They had prepared a wonderful buffet for us all,which was not expected,.Lorna and Andrew had obviously gone to a lot of trouble, the open day was a big success and others we feel sure would agree.

As we were driving home,we reflected on the day and both agreed that we actually felt that we belonged to the club now.We all mixed,talked and laughed regardless of whether you kept Show birds,Bantams or chickens in the back garden.Consequently we can't wait for the Fun Day!
